Accusative

From Teflpedia

The accusative case, simply accusative, or the objective case, simply objective is a grammatical case found in English and related languages.

Grammatical objects belong to the accusative case.

In English only pronouns are inflected for case, these object pronouns (e.g. me, you, him, her, it, us, them). Otherwise, accusative nouns are identical to nominative nouns.

The usual analysis of English holds that English lacks a dative case and the accusative is used instead. An alternative analysis is that in English has a dative case but that it is identical in form to the accusative.
