-ic
From Teflpedia
{-ic} is an English adjective suffix, used to form adjectives from nouns with the meaning “of or pertaining to.” It is often added to words of Ancient Greek or Latin origin, but may also be used with other words.
For example, acid → acidic.[1]
When changed into adverbs with the addition of -ly, they take -ally, e.g. acidic → acidically. One exception this is public, which has the adverb publicly; publically occurs but is somewhat non-standard.[2]
