TEFL

TEFL is the acronym for Teaching English as a Foreign Language to people who need to use English for work or leisure without having the intention of living in the country where the language is spoken.

TEFL is usually carried out outside an English-speaking country.

In the US there is extensive teaching of English to residents, TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language).[1]. The acronym TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is also used.

The students are studying EFL (English as a Foreign Language).
