From Teflpedia
Electronic learning, usually written as e-learning, is a "technology-supported education/learning" (TSL) medium of instruction. One could also describe it as computer-based learning.
E-learning attempts to make optimum use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in order to enhance the quality of education and training and further anticipated moves towards a knowledge-based society.
In some instances of e-learning, no face-to-face interaction at all takes place. The term "e-learning" is used in various ways in a wide variety of contexts; particularly by companies who are using their company network to deliver training courses to employees.
